SHORT DESCRIPTION
Extremely flat input device for the precise capture of signatures with a high-resolution, monochrome 4.5" (11.4 cm) display for the brilliant display of the signature in real time.
The robust ERT sensor only reacts to the battery-free special pen and not only records movements with 2,048 pressure levels and 500 Hz sampling rate, but also detects movements of the pen in the air. This enables a very high-quality digitization of the signature and a correspondingly high level of evidence in court proceedings.
During the development, special attention was paid to perfectly combining the advantages of existing models and technologies: The design of the signotec Gamma, which received the German Design Award, and the robustness of the ER technology meet an inexpensive monochrome display.
BACKLIGHT
The signotec Zeta signature pad is available with or without backlight. The device with backlight is particularly suitable if you have to work under changing or unknown light conditions, e.g. in field service.
FTDI (vCOM)
The signotec Zeta signature pad can optionally be supplied with an FTDI chip. This chip converts the USB signal into a virtual COM signal, so that the device can be used in virtual environments, such as Remote Desktop (RDP) or Citrix.
The mode can not be changed from USB to vCOM or vice versa.
For operation, the free FTDI driver is required. You can find it in the download area of our website.

The delivery includes:

SOFTWARE
Our basic software ("signoPAD-Tools") for simple recording of the signature as an image (e.g. in Word and Excel) is available as a free download at www.signotec.com.
NOTE: If you want to sign PDF documents with legally binding, you will need our "signoSign/2" software.

RSA Features
The signotec pads have the highest security mechanisms available. This allows a complete chain of evidence in dispute. Depending on the integration, different techniques are used:
- PDF documents can be signed inside the pad and not in the insecure environment of the PC.
- The biometric data of the signature can be RSA-encrypted inside the pad using a public key.
- RSA-signature of the displayed content and signature.
- Upon delivery, each pad has a separate and unique RSA certificate for signing.
- Storing of custom RSA-certificates inside the pad.
- The pad can generate a RSA certificate.
- Supported schemes are RSA PKCS # 1 v1.5 (with or without the hash OID), PKCS # 1 v2.1
- Certificates can be certified by a Root Authority
- Supported hash algorithms are SHA-1, SHA-256 and SHA-512.
